USC Athletic director Pat Haden, a member of the 2003 Class, said: "This is an outstanding group of Trojan greats-Olympians, All-Americans, national champions and sports icons-who have played an important role in USC's athletic history. They'll join our first 10 classes of Hall of Famers to form a real Who's Who in USC sports."
Rosales was a decorated player back home, winning the Philippine Ladies Amateur Open five straight times. She was the USC’s women’s golf program’s first ever NCAA individual champion, a two-time All-American first teamer (1998-1999) and was the 1999 National Player of the Year.
The 34-year-old from Manila, who has Bong Lopez as swing coach, turned pro in 2000 and has been on the LPGA tour up to this today. To her credit, she won twice with more than $2-million in earnings. In 2008, she teamed up with Filipino-American Dorothy Delasin and the pair won the Women’s World Cup.
The Hall of Famers, who became eligible after they have completed their last season at USC 10 years ago, were selected by a 75-member panel consisting of media, previous Hall of Famers, USC Athletics Board of Counselors and Trojan head coaches and athletic department senior staff. - RAF, GMA News
