Ultimate Fighting Championship star Urijah Faber is an American born and raised in California but he won't be rooting for his countryman Floyd Mayweather on May 2.
"As far as being a fan, I'm always rooting for (Manny) Pacquiao," said Faber last week. "I would love to see him get that W."
Faber (32-7) was in the Philippines to promote his upcoming fight against Frankie Edgar in UFC's first event in Manila on May 16.
But Faber admits that Pacquiao is no longer the same fighter he was years ago, making him nervous as a fan.
"It’s scary though because Floyd is so defensively sound and he’s the bigger guy and he’s got that track record," said Faber.
"A couple of years ago I would have given it to Pacquiao for his punching power and aggressiveness. But now, I think Floyd’s going to play it safe and get a decision. But I hope not." —JST, GMA News
