Pangasinan is becoming a popular site during the hot months not just among beach lovers but among sports enthusiasts as well.

Many are going to Lingayen Beach to take part in kiteboarding as a summer adventure, GMA Dagupan's Jasmin Gabriel reported on "Primera Balita."

Kiteboarding is considered an extreme adventure since those taking part have to maneuver their kites without being blown away by strong winds.

Gerald Gelido, spokesman for Power Kiting Pangasinan, said the province has great potential to be a kiteboarding attraction.

Narito ang tagaktak ang pawis mo... nararamdaman mo talaga," he said.

The name of the game is to maneuver a kite about seven meters wide, with a string measuring up to 25 meters.

Even children can enjoy the activity, though they may have to use kites about three meters wide.

When asked if he found kiteboarding difficult, he said, "hindi." — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
