Mayweather will not last 2 minutes vs elite MMA fighters
Mixed martial arts and boxing are two entirely different combat sporting disciplines yet people still compare the two popular spectator sports.
When Robbie Lawler was asked how undefeated world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather would fare against elite MMA fighters, the current UFC welterweight champion didn't hold back his opinion.
"Against the best guys in the world? He's not making it out of two minutes," Lawler told ESPN.
"What happens when he gets picked up and slammed on the ground and he's on his back? There's a lot of variables, and he's great at what he does, and this is a totally different sport."
One of the most exciting fighters, if not the most exciting fighter in mixed martial arts today, Lawler also shared pointers on how to deal with Mayweather should he fight inside the octagon.
"It'd be a better thing for someone to take him down and finish him quick than to kick his legs out, kick him in the body, take him down, elbow him in the face, do those kinds of things for five rounds." — JM Siasat / APG, GMA News
