World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstars are set to return to Manila after seven years for another live show.

“WWE is excited to return to the Philippines, giving WWE’s passionate fans the chance to see their favorite superstars in an energetic, larger-than-life event, for the first time in seven years,” said Gerrit Meier, WWE president, international.

WWE Live Manila will be held on September 9 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Tickets for the event will go on sale on June 3.

Fans can expect to see their favorite WWE superstars such as WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, WWE Tag Team Champions, The New Day, WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte, Kane, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Sasha Banks, Tyler Breeze, Neville, Bo Dallas, and Zack Ryder perform in the live show.

However, the talent line-up is still subject to change.

"WWE Live Manila will deliver the same non-stop action and family fun that fans know and love from our TV programs," Meier said.

WWE first held a live event on February 24, 2006 at the Araneta Coliseum. Three years after another live show was held at the same venue on July 10, 2009.

“Dainty Group Asia & Wilbros Live are thrilled to bring WWE Live back to Manila,” said Paul Dainty, founder and executive chairman of Dainty Group.

“This one-night only show is a must-attend event for families to experience pure adrenaline," Dainty added.  — John Ted Cordero/APG, GMA News
