PHL's Medina wins table-tennis bronze in Rio Paralympics


Filipina Class 8 table-tennis paralympian Josephine Medina won a bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games Tuesday monring after she beat Germany's Juliane Wolf 3-0.

The 46-year-old Medina debuted for the Philippines in 2006. She came in fourth in the 2012 London Paralympics. She also won a bronze medal in the 2014 Asian Para Games in Incheon.

Medina defeated Norway's Aida Husic Dahlen last Saturday, during the preliminary rounds.

The Philippine paralympian lost to the eventual gold-medal winner, China's Jingdian Mao, last Thursday, during the preliminary matches.

Mao defeated France's Thu Kamkasomphou to win the gold, while the Frenchwoman won the silver.
