Eric Kelly taps to Rafael Nunes in two

MANILA - Filipino featherweight mixed martial arts fighter Eric Kelly suffered yet another setback in his career following a submission defeat against Rafael Nunes of Brazil during the undercard of "ONE: Global Superheroes" Friday night at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

After gauging each other in the first minute, Kelly and Nunes eventually exchanged strikes with both fighters landing clean hits.

An opening was left for the taking in round two after Nunes successfully scored a takedown.

While on the mat, Nunes secured a d'arce choke that prompted Kelly to tap at the 1:31 mark of round two.

It was Kelly's fourth straight defeat, dropping his record to 12-5 while Nunes moved to 11-1. — DVM, GMA News
