Eustaquio reveals getting help outside of Team Lakay for title fight
MANILA - Newly crowned ONE interim flyweight champion Geje Eustaquio of Baguio City's Team Lakay revealed seeking help outside of the country's premiere mixed martial arts camp in preparation for his rematch against former ONE flyweight world champion Kairat Akhmetov.

Eustaquio, 28, showcased an improved ground defense even as he had an answer to just about everything Akhmetov tried the whole night.

The Filipino fighter admitted that he had to come down from the mountains of Baguio in order to improve his ground work with an Iranian wrestling coach.
"I went to Manila to train my wrestling with coach Ali Heydarabi. Coach Mark Sangiao always has my back since day one to make sure that I either win or I learn," explained Eustaquio.
"You saw me way back five or six years ago, I didn't even know jiu-jitsu. Now you see me doing submission attempts, I believe I am growing because the people backing me are the best in he business."
Eustaquio now carries a gold-plated strap around his waist, but the real battle lies ahead when he battles the ONE flyweight world champion Adriano Moraes of Brazil.
The filipino flyweight champion says he's ready to go anytime, given the confidence in his team and the people around him.
"If he (Adriano Moraes) is ready, I am ready. Rock and roll let's go! Like I said I have the best team in the business behind my back, they can prepare me anytime and anywhere," said Eustaquio.
"This is a dream come true. Every fighter who stands inside that cage dreams of having this one. And again I say, this is not mine, it's ours." — DVM, GMA News
