One-time world title challenger Andrew Leone knows the risks he has to take in order to overcome Kevin Belingon of Baguio City's Team Lakay in the main event of 'ONE: Heroes of Honor' on April 20 at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

Leone, 28, believes he has figured a way to end Belingon's winning streak by learning from his fellow grapplers' mistake against the Filipino striker.

"I am going to strike with him. I will obviously look to setup my grappling exchanges but it's not going to come without strikes," said Leone.

"I think he's been able to best some high level grapplers in the past because they went about the fight in a little bit of a wrong way. I will try to learn from their past failures and do my best out there."

ONE Championship just recently announced that some of its event will be held in a five-rope ring instead of the traditional cage.

Some scribes are quick to point out that such setup happens to be an advantage for strikers like Belingon, but the American grappler begs to disagree.

"I think there's positive and negative for both strikers and grapplers inside the ring and inside the cage, but I don't believe it will affect the outcome of the fight," says Leone.

"This isn't my first time competing in the round so I've been there before. Kevin has a lot of more experience inside the ring, he has more fights than me as well so it's a great opportunity for myself."  — BAP, GMA News
