MANILA - Former ONE lightweight champion Eduard Folayang dominated the previously unbeaten Kharun Atlangeriev in every aspect en route to Friday's unanimous decision nod in his comeback fight, yet he believed that his performance was merely satisfactory.

"As if something was lacking in my performance, maybe because it was me who dictated the fight," said Folayang. "He was passive and didn't take any risk. I think my performance was satisfactory."

Folayang, 34, had an answer to each and everything Atlangeriev attempted during the contest. The fight, however, didn't turn out to be as exciting as the Filipino's previous fights as the Russian was mostly on the retreat for three rounds.

The face of Philippine mixed martial arts is confident that he can deliver a better show in his upcoming fights, and says he's ready to get back inside the cage on November.

"I give myself a score of 3 out of 5," Folayang quipped. "It was an okay performance, though I know deep inside that I could exceed this kind of showing. I think November would be an ideal date for me to come back." — DVM, GMA News
