Danny Kingad defeats Chinese prospect Ma Hao Bin in Macau

MACAU - Danny Kingad of Baguio City's Team Lakay bagged a huge victory following a unanimous decision nod over Chinese prospect Ma Hao Bin on the undercard of "ONE: Pinnacle of Power" Saturday night in Macau's Studio City Event Center.

Kingad opened the contest with a kick to the body that was heard around the arena. Not wanting to let the fight continue on their feet, Ma went for a takedown but was reversed by Kingad for a side control.

Both fighters exchanged hard kicks as they fought standing up in round two. A couple of unintentional low blows from Kingad halted the contest for a couple of minutes, but Ma shook it off and continued to fight anyway.

Kingad's leg kicks started to show a mark on Ma in round three. After a few strike exchanges, Ma successfully went for another takedown but was unable to do significant damage and was once again reversed for side control by Kingad.

Both fighters looked to secure a submission while on the mat, but neither came close to getting one. Kingad was awarded a unanimous decision after three five-minute rounds, he improved his record to 7-1 while Ma fell to 10-3. — DVM, GMA News
