Eustaquio reveals game plan for Moraes, goals after ONE flyweight title win

The 29-year-old Eustaquio, who is known for his masterful Wushu striking, surprised everyone at the arena when he went to grapple with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Moraes. It was a move that nobody thought he'd do, and Eustaquio feels the risks he took paid dividends during the fight.
"I had him [Moraes] confused in the first and second round; he was no longer certain if he wants to shoot for a takedown in the later rounds. 2018 I guess is my year, everybody is welcome [to fight me]," said Eustaquio.
"I'm also planning to move up to bantamweight or go to strawweight to challenge Sam-A Gaiyanghadao for the ONE Super Series title. There are lots of possibilities and I'm willing to take risks. For now my main goal is to get back to the gym, review again and add more weapons to my arsenal."
The recently concluded fight was a rematch of their 2014 encounter, when Moraes defeated Eustaquio by submission to win the then-inaugural flyweight title. Now having each other's number after four years of rivalry, the Filipino says he's willing to go for a grudge match should the fans desire the match-up.
"If the fans are not yet bored with us fighting each other, let's go. Adriano is a world champion and we are 1-1 with each other," Eustaquio quipped.
"He submitted me the first time, but I proved that I became better and my improvements were way faster than him." — BM, GMA News
