Former MMA champion Ronda Rousey took home her first WWE Championship by soundly defeating former Raw Women's Champion, Alexa Bliss.

Rousey subjected Bliss to judo throws and her Black Swan-like makeup on Monday (Sunday U.S. time) throughout one of WWE's four big events of the year, SummerSlam.

The ex-MMA star eventually won her first championship match at "the biggest party of the summer" by making Bliss tap out to her patented armbar at the four-minute mark, ending her weeks'-long chase for the red-and-white title.

Rousey is one of many former MMA athletes who made a successful transition to pro wrestling in recent years.

She is the second of the so-called "Four Horsewomen of MMA" to make the jump, following fellow UFC veteran Shayna Baszler to the WWE.

Baszler and Rousey were joined shortly by fellow Four Horsewomen, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir, at the biggest North American wrestling promotion in the latter half of 2018. — Rie Takumi/LA, GMA News
