PHL bags 13th bronze medal at the Asian Games 2018

The Philippines on Wednesday added another medal to its haul in the ongoing 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.

According to the Philippine Sports Commission, Almohaidib Abad won a bronze medal in the Pencak Silat Men's Singles.

The Philippines now ranks 19th overall in the Asiad, with three gold medals and 13 bronze medals for a total of 16.

Pencak Silat is a traditional Indonesian martial art, which is " assessed from a punch, kick, sweep, and dings," according to the Asian Games website.

Pencak Silat is also described as a "non-aggressive martial art" that "employs natural body movements and develops balance and economy of movement in each individual." —KBK, GMA News
