The eight team in the play-ins will battle in a single elimination, best-of-three series. The winners of each pair will move to the lower bracket of the playoffs. Both brackets will play in a best-of-three series, while those who will advance to the Finals will face-off in a best-of-five series.
Why the Philippines and what to expect from MSC
JJ Lin, Esports Manager of Moonton, said they chose the Philippines as the venue of MSC because they see the country as a big market for the mobile game.
Philippines is the second biggest audience for MLBB and Lin said the MSC is just a start of their increased efforts for the Philippines which may include more tournaments, heroes, and skins.
According to Lin, they are still in discussion for more activities in the said tournament. He also confirmed that they are cooking something bigger for MLBB fans all over the world.
"We are actually planning bigger events for MLBB fans, but [it will] not [be announced] yet in the MSC," Lin said.
Tickets for the MSC range from P290 to P1710, and freebies will also be given away. — LA, GMA News
