MANILA - Former ONE featherweight world champion Honorio Banario fell short after a valiant effort following a unanimous decision loss against South Korea's Dae Sung Park at "ONE: Dawn of Heroes" Friday night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
It was an exciting first round as both fighters opted to exchange strikes in the center of the ring.
While on the mat, Park managed to score some serious ground and pound that stunned Banario. But before the round ended, the Team Lakay fighter also managed to hurt his foe with his patented wushu striking.

Banario looked to be the fresher fighter after the opening war when they entered the second round. The former champion from Baguio City upped the pace and walked forward throwing his punches and kicks.
It was a back and forth action in the third and final round. Both men tried to turn the tide to their favor, but it was Park who got the nod after three rounds of action.
The win improved Park's record to 10-2 while Banario fell to 14-9. — DVM, GMA News
