PHL chess team wins gold, silver in SEA Games 2019

The Philippine chess team clinched a gold and a silver medal at the Southeast Asian Games in Subic on Thursday.

The team of Eugene Torre, Darwin Laylo and Paulo Bersamina lorded the men's chess team problem solving event for gold.

Meanwhile, the trio of Janelle Mae Frayna, Catherine Secopito and Shania Mendoza pocketed silver in the women's division of the same category.
