Obstacle course delivers 2 golds, 2 silvers for PHL

Team Philippines ruled the obstacle course with two golds and two silver medals at the Southeast Asian Games on Friday at Filinvest City.

Mervin Guarte and Sandi Menchu Abahan won back to back gold medals in the men's and women's 5K X 20 Obstacle event, while Sherwin Managil and Glorien Merisco bagged the silver medals.

Guarte clocked in at 25:31 to finish first in the men's division and Managil followed with a time of 26:16 to secure second place. Mohd Pittli Mohd Saddam of Malaysia took the bronze after recording 28:02.

Abahan led the women's division with a time of 33:33, while compatriot Merisco clocked in at 40:00. Laos' Khamla Sorvimane registered 55:27 for the bronze.
