PHL's Michael Comaling reaps gold in modern pentathlon

Michael Comaling added another gold to the Philippines' medal haul at Southeast Asian Games after his victory in modern pentathlon on Friday.

Comaling ruled the men's individual beach triathlete event, registering a time of 17:08.87. Phurit Yohuang of Thailand clocked in at 17:19.83 for the silver.

Muhammad Taufik of Indonesia finished at 17:37.76 for the bronze.

This is the Philippines' second gold medal in modern pentathlon as Samuel German and Princess Arbilon won the mixed beach laser relay on Wednesday.

In the women's individual beach triathlete, Arbilon clinched the bronze medal after registering a time of 21:29.36.

Dea Salsabila Putri of Indonesia and Sanruthai Aransiri of Thailand bagged the gold and silver medals.
