Filipino duo Alvin Barbero and Jeffrey Roda pocketed a silver medal in the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games on Friday after a gallant stand against Malaysia in the snooker men's doubles finals at the Manila Hotel Tent.
The Malaysian pair of Moh Keen Hoo and Kok Leong Lim dominated the first two frames in the best of five match, scoring 97 against 12 in the opening, and 72-4 in the second.
The Pinoys refused to lose as they ended the third frame 70-8, extending their bid for the gold.
The Malaysians bounced back in the final frame, scoring 71 against the Philippines' 16, giving them the gold medal for the category.
