Philippine trio beats Singapore for first SEA Games squash gold


Jemyca Aribado, Robert Andrew Garcia, and Reymark Bergonia swept their individual games against Singapore to bag the Philippines' first gold medal in squash in the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games on Friday at Manila Polo Club.

Aribado defeated Singaporean Au Yeong Wai Yhann in straight sets to open the gold medal match, 11-7, 11-7, and 11-8.

In the second single, Garcia swept Samuel Kang, 11-7, 11-7, 11-9, while in the third single, Bergonia held Aaron Llang to zero in all three sets, assuring the Philippines of another gold.
