PHL men's rugby team grabs gold, women's team captures silver

Philippine teams dominated the rugby competitions at the Southeast Asian Games on Sunday at the Parade Grounds in Clark, Pampanga.

The men's team scored 14 points in the first half to demolish the Malaysians, 19-0, and grab the gold medal. Thailand claimed the bronze medal.

In the women's finals, the Philippines fell to Thailand, 17-7, to settle for the silver. The team tried to catch up in the second half but it was too late as the Thais already had 10 points.

Malaysia bagged the bronze in the women's divisions.
