Filipino tankers win 2 silvers, 1 bronze in SEA Games


Swimming added two silvers and one bronze medal in the Philippines' medal haul at the Southeast Asian Games on Sunday at the New Clark City Aquatics Center.

James Deiparine delivered a silver medal in the men's 50-meter breaststroke event after clocking 28.32 seconds.

Singapore's Chien Yin Lionel Khoo bagged gold after a 28.15 output, while Indonesia's Gagarin Nathaniel settled for bronze after registering 28.52 seconds.

Meanwhile, the quartet of Chloe Isleta, Desirae Mangaoang, Remedy Rule and Jasmine Alkhaldi added another silver in the women's 4x100-meter medley relay category after finishing 4:11.10.

Singapore copped the gold after a 1:07.05 output, while Thailand nabbed bronze after clearing 4:14.35.

Alkhaldi then clinched bronze in the women's 50-meter freestyle event after clocking 25.48 seconds. Singapore's Amanda Lim snagged gold after finishing 25.06 seconds, while Thailand's Jenjira Srisa followed at second place after clocking 25.32.
