Kurt Barbosa wins gold in taekwondo

Taekwondo jin Kurt Bryan Barbosa added another gold to the Philippines' medal tally at the Southeast Asian Games on Monday at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

Barbosa disposed of Vietnam's Duc Anh Hoang, 58-6, for gold in the men's 54kg.

Meanwhile, Rheza Aragon bagged the silver in the Women's 49kg. Veronica Garces and Jessica Canabal added bronze medals in the women's bantamweight and women's 53kg divisions, respectively.

Jins Dex Ian Chavez and Kurt Pajuelas also nabbed bronze in the men's flyweight 58kg and men's bantamweight events, respectively.
