Filipino shooters clinch gold anew in SEA Games


Team Philippines once again struck gold in shooting at the Southeast Asian Games on Tuesday at the Ilanin Forest in Subic, Zambales.

The trio of Eric Ang, Carlos Carag and Alexander Topacio clinched gold after scoring 338 in the men's trap team event.

Malaysia's Bernard Yeoh, Chee Ong and Foo Chen snagged silver after finishing 330, while Thailand's Savate Sresthaporn, Yodchai Phachonyut and Kornthawat Tadthongkam managed bronze after a 321 output.

In the men's trap singles, Carlos Carag scored 41 to nab the silver. He finished behind Thailand's Savate Sresthaporn who scored 44. Malaysia's Chee Ong completed the podium with 34.
