Filipino-American Mark Striegl underwent surgery to repair his fractured orbital bone following his brutal knockout loss against Said Nurmagomedov.

Striegl suffered a 51-second demolition at the hands of Nurmagomedov on Oct. 18 on the prelims of UFC Fight Night: Ortega vs. Korean Zombie at Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

“Warning: graphic images. Got my orbital bone fractured in my last fight which required surgery here in Baguio,” Striegl wrote on social media.

“Thank you, Dr. Carlo Pagalilauan and the @ufc for taking care of me! Looking forward to setting off lots of metal scanners at airports in the future.”

Striegl, 32, did not land one telling blow in his last fight. He went for a takedown after getting wobbled by a counter left hook only to get peppered with punches that put him away for good in the very first round. – JM Siasat/RC, GMA News
