Red hot prospect Lito Adiwang is dedicating his next fight to his terminally ill mother.

The no. 5 rated strawweight from Team Lakay is scheduled to face Shooto veteran Hiroba Minowa at ONE: Inside the Matrix on Friday, November 13 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

“I am very excited and happy to be back in action and continue to do what I love to do. This fight is very special for me. I want to win for my family, especially my mom,” said Adiwang.

Adiwang's mom, Leticia, survived a stroke in 2016 that left her in crutches. It happened again three years later, which paralyzed half of her body before it gravely deteriorated her health.

Adiwang, who is unbeaten in ONE Championship, last saw action against Pongsiri Mitsatit this past January, where he won by way of first-round submission.

He realizes that a win over his next foe would take him one step closer to a world title shot. He vows to be an even better version of himself on Friday then thanked his mom for everything he has.

“My mother has had a big impact on my life. She is the reason I am who I am today. I thank her for everything in my life, and I am proud and happy to be her son,” he stressed.

“I’ve really done my best in training and to improve myself. That’s the only way I can keep this up. Every time I step into the Circle, I want to give fans a show they want to watch. Each victory will keep moving me up the ladder until I’ve reached the top.” — LA, GMA News
