John Lineker stops Kevin Belingon in 2 at ONE: Inside the Matrix III

Former ONE bantamweight world champion Kevin Belingon suffered his first stoppage loss at the hands of ex-UFC fighter John Lineker in the main event of ONE: Inside the Matrix III this Friday night at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Both fighters started the contest by gauging each other in the opening minute of round one. Belingon moved forward throwing punches with bad intentions and even landed his patented sidekick on top. Lineker was bent on landing heavy blows as he unleashed punches to the head and body.

Lineker was relentless in round two as one of his body punches paid dividends after it managed to hurt Belingon. He followed up with a right on top that sent Belingon crashing to the canvas, prompting the referee to halt the contest at the 1:16 mark of round two.

The stoppage win marks Lineker’s second victory since he signed with ONE Championship. He improved his record to 33-9 while Belingon fell to 20-8. – RC, GMA News
