BREN asserts mastery of Alter Ego, enters top 3 round of MLBB World Championship

As if a repeat of the previous round, BREN Esports once again completed a reverse sweep of Indonesian rival Alter Ego Esports, 2-1, to barge into the top 3 playoff round of the 2020 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M2 World Championship.

KarlTzy spearheaded the turnaround for the Philippine representative as he delivered monstrous performances in the do-or-die matches with his Lancelot hypercarry.

He compiled a 5-0-9 KDA in Game 2, and a 16-0-6 in Game 3 as BREN successfully turned the series around with convincing victories.

The Pinoy prodigy's expertise was in full display in the rubber match as he already accumulated a 3-0-2 KDA at the 5th minute as BREN led with a 5-0 tally.

KarlTzy's biggest moment though came in the 18th minute of Game 3 when he executed a series-clinching backdoor push of the Alter Ego base that totally caught the Indonesians off guard.

Things didn't really look good for the top Filipino MLBB squad early in the series after they dropped Game 1 in an ugly manner as AE dominated the match thoroughly, shutting down KarlTzy's Harley all-game long.

But seemingly motivated by the trash talking on stage after Game 1, BREN Esports successfully mounted a comeback centered around KarlTzy's exploits.

BREN will face another Indonesian squad on Sunday in a best-of-five series to dispute the last slot in the tournament grand finals across Myanmar's Burmese Ghouls. — LA, GMA News
