Omega, TNC Predator notch wins on first week of DOTA Pro Circuit Season 2
Smart Omega Esports and TNC Predator notched wins to kickstart their campaigns on the opening week of the DOTA Professional Circuit (DPC) 2021: Season 2.
Competing in the Upper Division of the Southeast Asian region, Omega Esports defeated Mongolia's Lilgun, 2-1, while TNC Predator notched a sweep of Execration, 2-0, on Wednesday.
The regional leagues will reward points to participant teams, as well as chance to qualify for the Major tournaments. The goal is to earn enough points to qualify for The International (TI), a $40M tournament to be held in Sweden this year.
Omega, supported by Smart, is composed of “Sam_H” Hidalgo, Mark “Shanks” Redira, Mc Nicholson “Mac” Villanueva, Bryle “cml” Alvizo, and Justin “Tino” Grimaldo.
Their win came after their success at the PNXBET Invitationals and the Asian New Bloom Tournament.
TNC, on the other hand, recently won their second consecutive title in the APAC Predator League.
Their lineup is comprised of Armel Paul "Armel" Tabios, Timothy John "Tims" Randrup, Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte, Marvin "Boombacs" Rushton, and Jun "Bok" Kanehera.
Also notching an opening week win was BOOM Esports, which picked up a 2-0 win over Execration on Thursday.
