Taekwondo jin Allain Ganapin qualifies for Tokyo Paralympics

Another taekwondo jin is heading to Tokyo as Allain Ganapin qualified for the Tokyo Paralympics.

The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Philippine Sports Commission.

Ganapin will join swimmer Ernie Gawilan in the delegation of Filipino athletes going to the Paralympic Games.

Prior to his qualification, Ganapin bagged a bronze medal in the Asian Qualifying Tournament for Tokyo 2020 held in Jordan last month.

He is also the second Filipino taekwondo athlete going to Tokyo after Kurt Barbosa, who booked his slot for the Tokyo Olympics from the same qualifiers.

The Tokyo Paralympics will be held from August 24 to September 5.
