Aside from cash reward and condo, house and lot awaits gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz

On top of at least P33 million cash reward, some residential properties are also waiting for Hidilyn Diaz.

In a press conference, Philippine Olympic Committee president and Rep. Abraham Tolentino said that a house and lot in Tagaytay would be waiting for Diaz following her historic gold medal triumph in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

He added that a van from Foton would also be among the rewards for Diaz as well.

Also on Tuesday, property developer Megaworld said they will also provide a condominium unit for Diaz in Eastwood City, according to a report by GMA News Online's Ted Cordero.

Diaz is the Philippines' first Olympic gold medalist after ruling the women's weightlifting 55-kg event.

Earlier this month, on July 13, Tolentino had said in a Philippine Sportswriters Association forum that a house and lot will be given to Philippine athletes who win a gold medal.

"Sigurado ako na meron pang susunod. Marami po akong sinulatan, tinawagan. Hindi ko na lang sasabihin, hintayin ko na lang 'yung paglabas ng commitment nila. Pero minimum P30-M yun, meron pang mga kasunod 'yan," Tolentino said.
