Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz receives P3M pledged by Mikee Romero

Fresh from her mandatory quarantine after a gold medal finish in the Tokyo Olympics, Hidilyn Diaz personally received the incentives made by representative Mikee Romero.

In a Facebook post Thursday, deputy speaker Romero handed the P3 million check to Diaz, who emerged as the first Filipino athlete to ever win a gold mint in the Summer Games.

Prior to this, Diaz had also received the P10 million promised by the MVP Sports Foundation, which has been supporting other Filipino athletes in the Summer Games.

As of writing, Diaz is tipped to receive at least P50 million worth of cash along with other pledges like house and lots, lifetime free flights, and free lifetime fuel etc.
