Onic Philippines stamped their class against a streaking TNC Pro Team via a 2-0 sweep to stay on top of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 8 elimination round on Sunday.

It was the third sweep scored by Onic in four matches so far and fourth win overall to stay ahead of the pack with 11 points. The win also cutoff TNC's momentum after scoring shutout wins against NXP EVOS and M2 world champion Bren Esports in their past two matches.

Similar to their previous outings, Onic employed an objective-based strategy in Game 1 to easily dismantle TNC in 17 minutes.

The effectiveness of Onic's ploy was very much apparent with Kairi "Kairi" Ygnacio Rayosdelsol's Lancelot and Jaylord "Hatred" Gonzales' Paquito who posted 2-0-5 and 4-0-3 KDAs, respectively.

Onic then engaged TNC in lengthy mind games all throughout Game 2 marked by only two total kills in 11 minutes of play as they slowly established much needed gold lead with the same objective-focused strategy.

The two-time MPL runner-ups then used an 11th minute lord take to conquer all enemy inhibitor turrets and complete the 2-0 series win by the 12th minute.

Their in-game brilliance was typified by their massive gold lead and not surrendering a single turret turret all-game long.
