Skye Chua finishes 20th in ISU Junior Grand Prix


Filipina Skye Chua finished 20th out of 24 competitors in the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating held in Krasnoyarsk, Russia over the weekend.

Chua got a total of 79.70 points at the end of the tournament, with 49.73 points from free skating and 29.97 from the short program.

This is Chua's first stint in the ISU Junior Grand Prix.

Russian skaters Sofia Akateva (233.08), Anastasia Zinina (206.20), and Sofia Samodelkina (202.39) landed on the top three spots of the tourney.

Meanwhile, Christopher Caluza finished last out of 10 competitors in the 2021 US International Figure Skating Classic held in Massachusetts in the United States over the weekend.

He had a combined score of 175.64, with 62.03 from the short program and 113.61 from free skate.

Czech Republic's Michal Brezina (238.65) finished first, while Americans Jimmy Ma (233.58) and Eric Sjoberg (221.12) bagged the second and third spot respectively.
