Promising baseball player Jerome Yenson passed away on Friday. He was 24.
In a Facebook post, the Adamson University Alumni Sports Executive Group (AdUASEG) announced the death of Yenson, who would have been celebrating his 25th birthday on September 30.
Yenson, who played as pitcher, steered Adamson to the UAAP baseball title in 2018 when they swept top seed De La Salle University in the championship round.
That very same year, Yenson was hailed the Finals MVP and the Best Pitcher and was also part of the All-UAAP team, paving the way for his inclusion in the national team.
He was part of the national team that struck gold in the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games against Thailand.
