Esports athlete AkoSi Dogie recruiting MLBB players for collegiate tournament

Esports personality Setsuna "AkoSi Dogie" Ignacio is looking for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang players for a team he is forming for the Collegiate Center for Esports (CCE).

CCE, which was launched in August, is an esports league for collegiate players.

Ignacio said the CCE can help students who do not have the financial means but are doing well in esports to pursue a college education.

"Education is a must. Nung nakita ko 'to (CCE), maraming magagaling na player na walang [college] education," Ignacio said in a vlog. "Magre-recruit ako ng bago. Eto na 'yung hinihintay n'yo," he said.

["Education is a must. When I saw this, there were many good players who do not have a college education. I'll recruit them. This is what you've been waiting for."']

Ignacio said he will provide a bootcamp, coach, and analyst for the team he will form. He will also provide laptops for his recruits for their online classes.

"Malaki 'to. Para 'to sa future ng mga bata. [This is big. This is for the future of the youth.]"

"Para 'to sa mga bata na gusto makapasok ng school, magaling ka mag-Mobile Legends pero walang pera papuntang college. Baka ito na 'yung place mo," he said.

["This is for the young ones who want to go to school, play good Mobile Legends but do not have enough resources for a college education. Maybe this is your place."]

CCE previously said they aim to provide scholarship opportunities for the players.

The regular season for CCE will start this October.
