Yuka Saso finishes at joint 22nd in TOTO Japan Classic

Filipina-Japanese golfer Yuka Saso on Sunday wrapped up her 2021 TOTO Japan Classic campaign at joint 22nd place.

Saso finished with a total of 285 strokes, three under par in the four-round tournament to tie with Min Young-Lee of South Korea and Teresa Lu of Taiwan.

Despite missing the podium, Saso will still take home ¥2,263,800 or around P1 million.

Ayaka Furue of Japan topped the tournament with 272, 16-under par.

This is Saso's first tournament in Japan after the Tokyo Olympics. Last week, the US Women's Open champion revealed that she has started the process of acquiring her Japanese citizenship.
