Letran, Lyceum advance to MLBB Varsity Cup upper bracket finals

Colegio de San Juan de Letran and the Lyceum of the Philippines University preserved their clean slate as they both advanced to the upper bracket finals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Varsity Cup.

Undefeated Letran swept Emilio Aguinaldo College, 2-0, while Lyceum needed three games to dispatch gritty Mapua University, 2-1, in the playoff round that kicked off on Wednesday afternoon.

With their losses, both the EAC and Mapua have been relegated to the lower bracket.

EAC will next face San Sebastian College-Recoletos, who earlier pulled off a 2-0 victory over the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta.

Meanwhile, Mapua and Arellano University will also collide in the lower bracket.

Arellano earlier bested De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, 2-0. Both Perpetual and Benilde have now bowed out of contention.

The winner of the clash between Letran and Lyceum will face the winner of the lower bracket finals.
