UFC boss Dana White tests positive for COVID-19

UFC President Dana White has tested positive for COVID-19.

In an interview on the Jim Rome Podcast, the UFC big boss revealed that he and his entire family caught the virus after a visit to Maine.

“We just went up to my place in Maine for Thanksgiving. It’s a tradition we go up there and somebody had it. We get back and we all tested positive for COVID,” White revealed.

“Literally the whole family and my family up in Maine, too.”

According to White, he knew that he was COVID-19 positive upon losing his sense of smell when he got back home.

The UFC head honcho stressed that he follows the basic coronavirus protocol, and also mentioned taking advice from UFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan, who had been a subject of controversy for some of his views on COVID treatment.

White believes he will be ready to go back to work in a few days.

“I never felt better. I’m feeling like a million bucks. I’m doing workouts for the next 10 days while I have COVID and am in quarantine. I got my smell and taste back in less than 24 hours,” he said.

“I hope [to attend Saturday’s event] If I test negative then I will absolutely, positively be there,” he quipped.

“I’m going to do the exact protocol that’s supposed to be done and make sure that I’m clean and can go around and be around people again.”
