#WeWantEstes trends as netizens appeal to Moonton to heed Blacklist International M3 skin request

Mobile Legends fans in the Philippines are in uproar after Blacklist International team captain OhMyV33nus said that Moonton rejected their request to have the exclusive M3 championship skin for Estes.

The hashtag #WeWantEstes is currently on top of the Philippine Twitter trends list with over 58,000 tweets as fans clamor for game developer Moonton to heed the wish of the world champion.

In a Facebook livestream on Wednesday, Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna said there won't be a skin for Estes.

"Ayaw raw ni Moonton ng Estes, true. Moonton doesn't like Estes because Estes is not marketable. Moonton will decide, not the players," he said. "Moonton doesn't agree. Moonton doesn't agree that Estes is marketable."

"Dami pa rin nagco-comment about Estes. 'Wag na kayo umasa guys, it's already been decided. Sabi ko nga, it is what it is. We cannot do anything about it," he added.

Estes has been a key figure on Blacklist's meta enabling heroes like Alice, Aldous, and Bane to flourish in the MPL Season 8 and in international tournaments.

Even Kiel "OHEB" Soriano, whose masterful use of Beatrix won him the M3 Most Valuable Player award, still chose Estes for the exclusive skin.

"I want to choose Estes because it's been the trademark of Blacklist International since [MPL Philippines] Season  7," he said.

Blacklist International co-owners and Tier One Entertainment co-founders Alodia Gosiengfiao and Tryke Gutierrez also joined the call. Even other Philippine teams like Echo and Onic PH player Hatred came out in support.

Every MLBB World Championship series, the winning team gets the opportunity to select their own skin. EVOS Legends chose Harith after they ruled the M1 World Championship and Bren Esports went for Lancelot after winning the M2 World Championship.

GMA News Online already reached out to Moonton but no official statement has been released as of posting time.
