Yuka Saso to swing by Manila ahead of two Southeast Asian meets
Yuka Saso is set to pay Manila a visit as she gears up for two tournaments in two of the Philippines' Southeast Asian neighbors.
According to Pilipinas Golf Tour (PGT), the 20-year-old golfer will drop by the capital city later this month to touch base with relatives, backers, and friends before resuming her LPGA campaign in Singapore and Thailand in March.
"I will be taking the new few weeks off to rest and work on my game," Saso said.
"I will be spending some time in the Philippines before heading to Singapore and Thailand."

Saso, who chose to be a Japanese citizen, will compete in two LPGA tournaments in Singapore, the $1.7 million HSBC Women's World Championship on March 3 to 6 at Sentosa Golf Club's Tanjong course, and in Thailand, the $1.6 million Honda LPGA Thailand on March 10 to 13 at Pattaya's Old course in Chonburi.
The Filipino-Japanese Olympian is also looking to recover from her no-podium finish in last week's Drive On Championship, which is part of LPGA Tour.
"I was able to maintain my composure and stay focused despite a difficult hole on No. 16. I still played some great golf and was proud of my round (second) even though it wasn't enough to get me through (the final round)," said Saso.
"But I learned a lot about the patience required by this sport and I am excited for my next event."
