Looks like former UFC fighter Jarred Brooks will not stop calling out ONE strawweight world champion Joshua Pacio until he gets to face him atop the cage.

The 28-year-old Brooks (18-2) is on a two-fight winning streak since he signed with Asia’s top martial arts promotion. One of his casualties was Pacio’s Team Lakay teammate Lito Adiwang, whom he defeated via submission last October.

“I don't think he wants to fight me anytime really soon. I think he probably wants to fight me in like July or something like that. But he can take as much time as he wants to prepare, like I said, I think I can beat Joshua Pacio right now,” said Brooks.

“He's super tough, and I got to give him kudos for holding the belt as long as he has. But he's gotten beat by people like [Yosuke] Saruta.”

In his last outing, Brooks once again demonstrated his grappling prowess with a dominant unanimous decision over Japanese prospect Koha Minowa—a win that catapulted him to no.2 in the ONE official athlete rankings.

As far as Brooks is concerned, he has already earned a date with destiny to challenge the Filipino world champion from Baguio City.

“I think Josh has probably gotten a little bit better and he's gonna be watching a lot of videos on me. But I think Joshua is deep down inside sh***ing himself. If he isn't ready to fight me, then why be the champion? You should be ready and you should be ready right now,” Brooks stated.

“I can't really stipulate on the reason why Joshua wouldn't want to fight, but I know that Joshua wants to fight me. I think he wants to and I think he wants the smoke. So Pacio, let's get it.”
