Team Lakay head coach Mark Sangiao is confident that his ward Jeremy Pacatiw could break into the top 5 of the bantamweight rankings should his fighter triumph Fabricio Andrade.

Pacatiw, a rising prospect from Brave Combat Federation, is tasked to lock horns with the no. 4 rated Andrade on the undercard of ONE: Full Circle on February 25 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

“Fabricio Andrade is one of the best. He's not the toughest opponent that Jeremy will face,” Sangiao said.

“If you try to check Jeremy’s fight record before he joined ONE, you can see a list of ace fighters that Jeremy encountered in his career up to this date.”

The hard-hitting Pacatiw (10-4) made his ONE Championship debut last July where he defeated Chen Rui by way of unanimous decision.

Andrade, meanwhile, is on a five-fight winning streak and is coming off a stoppage win over Li Kai Wen last December.

“We consider every single match that we have as a chance for us to show how Team Lakay is relentlessly progressing. A victory for Jeremy in this match will be monumental,” said Sangiao.

“Who is occupying the 4th spot in the ranking? It’s Fabricio Andrade. So if the tide will go with us, then Jeremy will surely earn himself a place in the top ranking athletes.”
