TNC nabs statement opening win in sweep of MSC champs Omega

Parading an overhauled line-up with only one Season 8 member making it to current roster, TNC Pro Team played with vindication and scored a 2-0 of Season 8 semi-finalist Omega Esports in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 9 on Friday.

TNC campaigned with a roster composed of a mix of former MPL players and amateur standouts that refused to back down against a formidable Omega team that is the defending MLBB Southeast Asian Cup champions and MPL PH Season 8 third-placer.

TNC opened Game 1 with a quick 4-0 kill lead courtesy of Joemarie “Escalera” Delos Santos' (Selena) nifty Abyssal arrows that extended to a 9-2 lead by the 5th minute.

Daniel “SDzyz” Chu (Karina) then scored a clutch lord steal in the 12th minute followed by a double kill in the ensuing play as TNC cruised to the lead, 1-0.

They finished the match with a commanding 19-3 kill lead. Escalera finished with a 2-0-10 KDA while SDzyz posted a 6-0-5 KDA.

After a close early game, SDzyz (Karina) scored a pivotal triple kill in the 10th minute to lead a 4-2 trade as TNC took control.

Ben “Benthings” Maglaque (Chou) then executed a superb set-up off a sneaky conceal play in the 17th minute that led to a 4-0 wipe for the sweep. 2-0.

SDzyz once again finished with a perfect 4-0-6 KDA.
