Eduard Folayang set to face Muay Thai legend John Wayne Parr in striking showdown at ONE: X

Two-time ONE lightweight world champion Eduard Folayang is set to make his return inside the cage when he takes on Muay Thai legend John Wayne Parr in a Muay Thai striking match at ONE: X on March 26 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

“LEGEND vs. LEGEND! Eduard Folayang takes on John Wayne Parr in an EPIC wushu vs. Muay Thai striking showdown at ONE X!” ONE Championship announced on Facebook this evening.

The 38-year-old Folayang, a Southeast Asian Games gold medalist, Asian Games silver medalist, and a Wushu world championship bronze medalist, is a renowned wushu striker from the famed Team Lakay of Baguio City.

Holding a record of 22-12 in mixed martial arts, Folayang’s upcoming fight with Parr will be his first appearance in the ONE Championship cage in a striking only match. The 45-year-old Parr, meanwhile, is a ten-time world champion with a kickboxing record of 133-34 with 46 knockouts.
