Blacklist's BON CHAN, Hadji commend TNC's Benthings after reverse sweep loss

Blacklist International head coach Kristoffer "BON CHAN" Ricaplaza and skipper Salic "Hadji" Imam were all praises for Ben "Benthings" Maglaque after the latter led TNC to a reverse sweep victory in the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines Season 9 on Saturday.

BON CHAN, whose team is the back-to-back MPL titleholder and M3 world champion, compared Benthings to Allan "Lusty" CastroMayor, a seasoned tank who is currently suiting up for Bren Esports, whom he steered to the M2 World Championships crown.

"Nasimulan na namin ng isang magandang game and then pangalawa kinapos na naman. Sobrang commendable talaga ng tank nila na si Benthings dahil for me siya talaga 'yung next generation Lusty eh," said BON CHAN.

Hadji echoed BON CHAN, saying Benthings played a huge role in handing Blacklist its eighth loss of the season as TNC overtook Echo to move up to the first spot in the standings.

"Si Benthings, sobrang commendable talaga lalo nung game 3," added Hadji.

Benthings, meanwhile, was at a loss for words after getting praises from a world champion squad but said he will just continue what he has been showing off in the season.

"Speechless. Sarap sa feeling pero ipagpapatuloy ko lang 'yung mga ginagawa ko and patuloy pa rin akong magsisikap," the 27-year-old Benthings said.

"'Yung mga sinasabi nila about sakin, gagawin ko 'yun na motivation. Ilalagay ko 'yun sa puso ko, hindi sa ulo."
