RSG escapes Omega, stretches streak to 5
RSG Philippines sustained their rampage by taking their 5th consecutive win via a 2-1 win against Omega Esports to stay in the hunt for the top 2 slots of the regular season with four matches left in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 9 on Saturday.
It was their 8th win overall to reach 21pts and tie TNC Pro Team behind Echo (22pts).
Despite a commanding early game in Game 1, RSG had to dig deep and needed to clutch the luminous lord in a 27th lord fight to take the opening win.
They had to score a 2-0 wipe in that sequence to finally pull ahead.
Omega came back strong in Game 2, completely dismantling RSG dropping only one death and not conceding any turret en route to a 16th minute equalizer.
Both teams then engaged in a nip and tuck affair from the Game 3 opening with no decisive leads until Eman “EMANN” Sangco (Melissa) scored a double kill to cap off a 4-1 wipe in a 16th minute lord fight that quickly ended the series.
He finished with a 4-1-6 KDA while Dylan “Light” Catipon (Franco) once again provided the much needed disruptions to finish with a 1-3-12 KDA.
Omega suffered their 7th loss in 10 matches and remained a distant 7th with nine points, two points off the last slot for the Season 9 playoffs.
