Former UFC fighter and ONE strawweight contender Jarred Brooks is confident that he is going to beat ONE world champion Joshua Pacio.

Brooks, 19-2 as a professional mixed martial arts fighter, earned a shot at the gold-plated strap when he defeated Bokang Masunyane last Friday. He also defeated Pacio’s teammate Lito Adiwang in the past and says the result would be the same once they meet atop the cage.

“I think it would go the same way as Lito, that I would choke him out in the first or second round. I think I'm getting better in almost every fight, and I think I could make him have trouble on the feet and the ground,” said Brooks.

Brooks immediately called out Pacio for a showdown as soon as the fight with Masunyane was over. The Team Lakay star responded on social media, only to have his television set targeted by the American wrestler.

“I just watched his Instagram story congratulating me, and he's a classy guy. But I got to get that guy some more money with the TV that he has. I'll buy him a new TV with the money [I get from beating] him,” Brooks stated.

“He's pretty much had that belt for four years straight. If I can beat him, and then I end up fighting him again and beat him again, that just puts a staple on an outstanding career so far.”
