Triathlon's Fernando Casares, Kim Remolino claim gold-silver finish

Triathletes Fernando Casares and Kim Remolino opened the Philippines' Southeast Asian Games campaign on Saturday with a gold-silver finish in VIetnam.

Casares clocked in 01:56.570 in the men's individual triathlon to place first while compatriot Remolino followed with 01:59.160.

Indonesia's Ronald Setiawan Bintang settled for bronze with 02:01.350.

As of writing, the Philippines has six gold medals, 13 silvers, and 11 bronze medals, according to the SEA Games website.
